Spring Commencement 2019

The University of New Haven will celebrate the dedication and the many achievements of its newest graduates at its Spring 2019 Commencement on Wednesday, May 22, 2019. The ceremonies will take place at the Toyota Presents Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford.

All students (both undergraduate and graduate) will participate in their College's ceremony, as listed below. Students are assigned based on their primary major as listed in Banner.

10:00 a.m. Ceremony, Honoring:

  • Graduates of the College of Arts and Sciences, School of Health Sciences, and Tagliatela College of Engineering
  • Toni N. Harp ’13 Hon., Mayor, City of New Haven (speaker)
  • Michael H. Ambrose ’84, Vice President of Engineering and Technology, Sikorsky Aircraft, a Lockheed Martin company (honorary degree recipient)
  • Roger J. Cooper, former international banking executive (honorary degree recipient)
3:30 p.m. Ceremony, Honoring:
  • Graduates of the Pompea College of Business and Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences
  • Regina Rush-Kittle, Deputy Commissioner, State of Connecticut Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security (speaker and honorary degree recipient)
  • Michael W. Toner ’82 EMBA, former Executive Vice President of Marine Systems, General Dynamics (honorary degree recipient)
