Virtual Instant Decision Days and Admission Interviews
University of New Haven’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions is excited to host Virtual Instant Decision Days! During these events, you’ll have the chance to meet one-on-one with an admissions counselor on Zoom to receive a decision on your application.
Instant Decision Days are specifically for new, first-year applicants interested in full-time enrollment for the Fall 2021 semester. Students interested in transferring to the University or enrolling on a part-time basis are encouraged to contact their transfer enrollment counselor for more information.
There are no upcoming appointments. Please email Megan Kolis at MKolis@newhaven.edu if you’d like to schedule an interview or instant decision.
Keep in mind that we will require the following materials to provide a decision on your application:
- Common Application with essay; please submit at least one week prior to your appointment
- Official high school transcript and letter of recommendation; from an academic source; please request that your school counselor and/or teacher submit these electronically at least two days before your appointment
- Optional: Official SAT or ACT scores. We are a test optional institution, so you only need to submit your scores if you selected “consider my scores” on your Common Application; scores must be received at least two days before your appointment if you would like them considered
Based on recent years, our average cumulative high school GPA for acceptance is a 3.5 out of a 4.0 scale; average SAT is about an 1150 and ACT is a 24 composite. We recommend a minimum 3.0 cumulative high school GPA to participate in our Instant Decision Days.
If you fall below a cumulative high school GPA of a 3.0, you are encouraged to connect with your admissions counselor to discuss your eligibility for the event prior to registering for a time slot.
Other options to meet individually with an admissions counselor outside of the Instant Decision Day events include our virtual interview appointments and our one-on-one campus visits.
