West Haven Mayor Nancy R. Rossi and her staff invite residents to participate in a virtual town hall meeting on Wednesday, March 3, beginning at 6 p.m. via Zoom. The goal of this community event is to bring residents closer to Mayor Rossi and promoting transparency between the city and constituents.
The Mayor’s Advisory Commission is a collaborative, student-driven task force founded in 2015 to strengthen and enrich the relationship between the University and the city. The commission is led by Killian Gruber ’22, a political science major, and by MAC advisor Chris Haynes, Ph.D., associate professor of political science and legal studies.
All members of the community are encouraged to attend and to ask questions. I will be co-moderating the meeting with Dr. Haynes.
Questions can be emailed to me at ctomc1@unh.newhaven.edu prior to the town hall. Participants will also have the ability to ask questions live on Zoom by using the raise hand feature. Those who view the meeting via Facebook live can send in questions as well.
All attendees will be allowed one question with a one-minute time limit. At the beginning of the question, each participant will state their name and subject of their question. All comments should be related to the city and/or government of West Haven. The thumbs-up button will be used by the moderators to give the person talking a ten-second warning. Please keep all dialogue courteous and respectful.
For more information, please call the Mayor’s Office at (203)-937-3510 or email me at ctomc1@unh.newhaven.edu.
I look forward to taking part in this wonderful learning opportunity, and I am excited for the impact it can have on the city of West Haven.
