Faculty-Led Study Abroad Programs

Students who are looking for a program that is not a full semester long can choose to participate in one of our faculty-led or Embedded Programs. Small groups of students will travel with their faculty and explore the culture and country through their coursework. Faculty-led programs usually occur in the Summer or Winter Intersession and are separate from the regular cost of annual tuition. Embedded courses have a classroom component and a travel component that is included in the cost of tuition for that course. These programs have a separate (E) distinction in their program names.

COVID-19 Vaccine Policy for Summer 2023 and Beyond

The University of New Haven continues to be committed to offering COVID-19 conscious programming, and we believe that being up to date on the COVID-19 vaccine and boosters will help safeguard the health and wellness of the university’s community. We have developed our policies with the health and safety of not only students, but the communities in which we operate as our top priority.

After careful consideration, starting with programs beginning on or after May 10, 2023, the University of New Haven will strongly recommend all participants be up to date on the COVID-19 vaccine and recommended booster dose(s) prior to the start of their program. We will only require participants to be up to date in locations where enforced by local governments or local partner institutions.

The University of New Haven will continue to monitor the COVID-19 landscape around the globe. Should circumstances change, we reserve the right to reinstate a COVID-19 vaccine mandate at any time. We will be sure to communicate any major policy changes as quickly as possible. The University of New Haven also strongly recommend that all students bring their CDC cards to best ensure their ability to fully participate in all program activities.
