Jeffery P. Hazell is a prominent Florida restaurateur and seafood entrepreneur.

Expertise

Mr. Hazell owns and operates Boston Lobster Feast, a chain of three popular seafood restaurants in the Orlando area, and is the founder of Bar Harbor Lobster Co., Florida's largest wholesale seafood company. In 2017 Mr. Hazell sold the assets of the wholesale company to Performance Food Group, the country’s second-largest Broadline food distributer. He started Bar Harbor in the garage of his house in 1986, just three years after he graduated from the University of New Haven in 1983 with a degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management. He opened his first Boston Lobster Feast in 1991. Throughout his 35-year career, Jeff has had seven different restaurants, purchased two different wholesale seafood companies, and owned two food trucks selling lobster salad rolls.

Education

Mr. Hazell received a degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management from the University of New Haven in 1983, and was a member of the University's football team. He was awarded an honorary Doctor of Business Administration from the University of New Haven in 2010.

Mr. Hazell, who resides in Orlando, has a son, Warner.
